Patrick C Dietz

Patrick Carl "Pat" Dietz, 68 years of age, of Orleans, Nebraska, passed away on December 14, 2024, at Harlan County Health Systems in Alma, Nebraska. Pat was born in Orleans on March 17, 1956, the youngest of four children born to Edward and Alice (Tiedje) Dietz. He received his education and graduated from Orleans High School with the class of 1974. Pat pursued higher education at Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska.

On April 28, 1978, Patrick was united in marriage to Judy Weber in Stamford, Nebraska, and to this union, one son was born, Matthew. Pat worked in the Arborist field in Hood River, Oregon, before moving around to Oklahoma, Wichita, Kansas, and Lincon, Nebraska. In 1996, the family moved to the farm near Orleans where Pat owned and operated Springbrook Lawn and Tree Care.

Pat enjoyed World War II history, hunting artifacts, and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister-in-law, Joan Dietz; one brother-in-law, Don Johnson

Pat is survived by his wife of over 46 years, Judy Dietz of Orleans; one son, Matthew Dietz of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Allan Dietz of Kearney, Nebraska; two sisters: Sharon Johnson of McKinney, Texas; and Linda Dietz and her husband, Jean-Louis Beaudonnet of Coconut Creek, Florida; two sisters-in-law: Anita (Kenny) Schultz of Grand Island, Nebraska; and Janet (Mike) Bergstrom of Funk, Nebraska; one brother-in-law, Doug (Vicky) Weber of Wood River, Nebraska; along with a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family has honored Pat's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Patrick's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
