Funeral Services for Patrick G. Elliott will be conducted from the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Adams, officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Patrick Gene "Pat" Elliott, 51 years of age, of Seward, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. Pat was born May 26, 1963 in Alma, Nebraska, the son of Billy D. and Elsie "Faye" (Florom) Elliott. At a young age the family relocated to Holdrege, where Pat received his education.

Following his education, Pat began a long career in Truck Dispatching, and was employed at Holdrege by Speedway Transportation until 2001, when Pat moved to Seward and was employed by Schultz Transportation out of Lincoln, where he was currently employed at the time of his passing.

On July 1, 1992 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Covey in Geddes, South Dakota. Upon this marriage, Jeanette lovingly accepted his four children as her own. The family made their home in Holdrege.

He enjoyed collecting coins and firearms, he also enjoyed fishing and most of all loved the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Pat never knew a stranger, his sense of humor and infectious smile will always be remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves to mourn his passing; his two sons: Keith Elliott of Lincoln and Kenneth Elliott and his wife, Hannah of Seward; his two daughters: Kylie Elliott of Seward and Kim Walz and her husband, Quentin of Lincoln: his father, Bill Elliott of Hastings, Nebraska; four grandchildren: Kennedy, Binzley, and Elliott Walz and Nolan Taylor-Elliott; three sisters: Deb Hampton and her husband, Joel of Holdrege, Cindy Laird of Kearney and Billinda Elliott of Beatrice, Nebraska; two brothers: Dan Slater of Fremont, Nebraska, and Jim Elliott and his wife, Tracie of Holdrege; sister-in-law, Denise Laird of Funk, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Elliott; grandparents: Delbert and Lillie Florom and Clyde and Ruth Rhoades; and brother, Bill Elliott.

Visitation will be held at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Pat's honor and will be designated at a later date.
