Paul A. Dahlgren

A funeral service for Paul A. Dahlgren will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Murray Jones and Chaplain DeWane Dow officiating. Following the service, the family is honoring Paul's wish for cremation.

Paul Allen Dahlgren, 76 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away, on December 21, 2022, at his home in Holdrege. Paul was born in Holdrege on January 5, 1946, the second of three children, born to Orville and Twyla (Dodson) Dahlgren. He received his primary education from Atlanta Public School in Atlanta, Nebraska, and graduated from Loomis High School.

Following his education, Paul put up grain bins for Don Thorell and later worked for Palmer Brothers and Arnold's industries. Most recently, he drove the van for Holdrege Memorial Homes.

On August 12, 1993, Paul was united in marriage to RaDonna Hoffman in Holdrege, and together they raised five children: RaBecca, Schreese, Chandler, Desiree, and Cody.

Paul liked traveling to the mountains, drinking Dr. Pepper and eating banana splits, getting together with the coffee group, fishing, and going to sales. Most of all Paul enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time with his children and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Eagles Club.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mardelle Dahlstedt; three brothers-in-law Delbert Ellis; James Hoffman; and Jerry Lee in infancy.

Paul is survived by his wife, RaDonna of Holdrege; five children: RaBecca Clark and her husband, Erik of Oxford, Nebraska; Schreese Dahlgren of Holdrege; Chandler Dahlgren and his significant other, Cheyenne Stevens of Holdrege; Desiree Hosier and her husband, Clayton of Oxford; Cody Dahlgren of Holdrege; seven grandchildren: Charles and Thomas Breinig; Gracie, Robert, Michael, and Harley Dahlgren; with one baby Hosier on the way; one sister, Carol Ellis; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Paul's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
