Pauline Blincow, 95 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska (formerly of Oxford) passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Holdrege Memorial Homes. Pauline was born on August 19, 1923, at Beaver City, Nebraska, the third of five daughters born to Wynnie and Fern (Howard) Hester. She received her education at Beaver City and graduated from Beaver City High School.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dean R. Blincow on June 2, 1946, and they were loving parents to: Connie Sue, Dean Rod Blincow Jr., and Lynn. Pauline loved being a military wife, and felt blessed to have traveled to many places including: the Philippines; Izmir, Turkey; and numerous locations in the United States including: Waco, Texas; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Fairfax, Virginia. They then returned to Oxford when Dean retired from the military. She was especially fond of her trip to the Holy Land, and gave programs of that experience to many groups throughout the years.

Due to failing health, she spent the last two years at Holdrege Homes. While in Oxford, they co-owned the Oxford Cafe with Dean's parents, and she also worked at the Oxford Standard. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Oxford, where she attended many Bible studies, served on many committees and was also very active in the community. Pauline helped start the thrift store, and was in charge of the food pantry for many years.

Pauline had many talents; she loved to sing, was a talented painter which included mostly oil paintings, did many types of crafts, and had a large garden of flowers. She loved traveling, especially taking trips with her grandson, Jon and having him visit their home, where all the neighbor kids came and spent many hours playing in their large yard, garden and house. On February 6, 1997, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean.

Besides her parents and husband Dean, she was preceded in death by infant daughter, Connie Sue; her four sisters and their husbands: Roberta (Bob) Woolston, Bonita (Don) Dusenberry, Donna (Jim) Bose and Norma Jean Hester.

Pauline leaves to celebrate her life; son, Dean Blincow and his wife, Barb of Hebron, Nebraska; daughter, Lynn Blincow of Oregon City, Oregon; grandson, Jon Rickers and his wife, Terra of St. Louis, Missouri; and great-grandsons: Jackson and Chase; special friends: Neal and Sue Rhynalds of Oxford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A private family visitation will be held.
