Peggy Lynn Booe

Funeral Services for Peggy L. Booe will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Loomis, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Thompson officiating. Following the traditional service, cremation will take place. Private family inurnment will be held at the Industry Cemetery near Atlanta, Nebraska at a later date.

Peggy L. Booe, 62 years of age, of Loomis, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family. Peggy was born April 7, 1952, in Holdrege, Nebraska, the second of five children born to Neil J.E. and Glenna G. (Jennings) Johnston. She received her primary education and graduated from Loomis High School with the class of 1970.

On May 27, 1978 she was united in marriage to Tom M. Booe and together they raised four children: Micki, Chad, Jared and Joel. The family made their home in the Atlanta area, finally settling in Loomis for the last 20 years.

Peggy was employed by Becton-Dickinson in the molding department.

Peggy enjoyed attending her kid's events and especially, her grandkids events. She enjoyed reading, shopping, especially at Wal-Mart, lunches with her BD friends, spending time with her grandkids and organizing family get togethers.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Neil; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harold and LaVona Booe of Atlanta.

She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband, Tom of Loomis; daughter: Micki Booe of Loomis; three sons: Chad Booe and his wife, Jessica of Atlanta, Nebraska, Jared Booe and his wife, Haley of Oxford, Nebraska, and Joel Booe and his wife, Amy of Waverly, Nebraska; seven grandchildren: Alex, Andrew, Gage, Zeigh, Clete, Briar, Alivia; mother, Glenna Johnston of Bloomington, Nebraska; brothers: Larry "Butch" Johnston and his wife, Ginger of Loomis, Danny Johnston of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; sisters: Teresa Johnston of Nashville, Tennessee; Tami Rademaker and her husband, Wes of Holdrege; uncles, Raye Johnston and his wife, Betty of Loomis and Dave Jakob of Grand Island, Nebraska; aunts, LaDonna Phillips of Ankeny, Iowa and Sally David of Montrose, Colorado; brother-in-law, Dan Booe and his wife, Sue of Atlanta, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Peggy's honor and will be designated at a later date.
