Funeral Services for Peggy J. Goth will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Dr. Cathi Braasch, STS officiating. Interment will be held following the service at the Moses Hill Cemetery in Phelps County, Nebraska.

Peggy Jean Goth, 79 years of age, of Holdrege passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Bethany Home in Minden, Nebraska, surrounded by her family. Peggy was born on June 11, 1937 in Holdrege, the only child born to Joe and Ruby (Myers) Johnson. She attended Holdrege Public Schools, graduating from Holdrege High School with the class of 1954.

On February 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Erickson at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege, and to this union one son, Chris was born in 1962. In 1968, Peggy began working with the KUVR radio station in Holdrege. On September 8, 1974, she was united in marriage to Jim Goth in Minden at the United Methodist Church. In the late 1970's, she began selling Real Estate with Town and Country Realty of Kearney. In 1984, Peggy moved to Arizona, and returned to the area in 1988. It was at that point that Peggy and her son, Chris and several local investors bought KUVR/KMTY radio station. Peggy owned and operated the radio station until 1999, then she ran the Town and Country Realty in Holdrege until her retirement in 2011. In 2012, she began to make her home at Chrisoma West in Holdrege after her health began to fail. In 2016, she relocated to the Bethany Home in Minden to receive additional care.

Peggy enjoyed attending Grace Fellowship in Kearney, and at the time of her passing was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. She was active through the years in the Holdrege Chamber of Commerce, Axtell City Council, Nebraska Broadcasters Association and the Nebraska Real Estate Association.

She enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing, but most of all, Peggy loved spending time with her grandson, Caden.

Besides her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her step-father, Roy Anderson.

She leaves to celebrate her life her son, Chris Erickson and his wife, Caroline of Holdrege; grandson, Caden Erickson of Holdrege; five step-daughters: Annette Goth-Durham of Lincoln, Nebraska, Cindy Johnson and Patty Hyder both of Jenks, Oklahoma, Sarah Goth of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Susan Goth of Lincoln; 11 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great grandchild; step-brother, Gary Anderson and his wife, Ruth Ann of Oak Harbor, Ohio; step-sister, Karen Hulce and her husband, Martin of Omaha, Nebraska; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Peggy's honor and kindly suggested to the Phelps County Community Foundation's Impact Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
