Celebration of Life Services for Peggy L. Ouellette will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. A private family inurnment will be held following the service at the Union Cemetery near Hollinger, Nebraska.
Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services will be followed. The family sincerely encourages each person to make their decision whether to attend Peggy's services based on the best interest of your health, and that of your community. Peggy Lee Ouellette, 73 years of age, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2020, at her home. Peggy was born on February 3, 1947, in Ogallala, Nebraska, and was adopted by Earl and Dorothy (Stevens) Beeler at the age of three. She received her primary education from Oral Public Schools in Oral, South Dakota. In 1962, Peggy's family moved to Oxford, where she attended Oxford Public School and graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1965.
Following her education Peggy had two boys from a previous marriage: Quinton and Quincy.
On December 27, 2000, Peggy was united in marriage to James Ouellette. The family made their home in Holdrege and within a few years moved to her family farm in rural Oxford. The couple enjoyed spending time together, fishing off their pontoon boat, and taking trips to casinos, especially Las Vegas, Nevada.
Peggy enjoyed shopping with her friends and caring for her cats. Above all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by, one grandson, Zander Gorsuch.
She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, James Oullette of rural Oxford; two sons; Quinton Gorsuch and his wife, Shannon of McPherson, Kansas; and Quincy Gorsuch of rural Oxford; one granddaughter, Macy Gorsuch; one sister, Dotty Jo Patterson and her husband, Lyle of Atlanta, Nebraska; her brother, Rex Beeler of Oxford; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Peggy's wish for cremation.
A memorial has been established in Peggy's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
