A funeral service for Phyllis J. Fecht will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Wilcox, Nebraska, with Pastor Candance Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilcox Cemetery.

Phyllis Jean (Stanley) Fecht, 86 years of age, of Wilcox, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born on August 15, 1938, in Long Island, California, to George and Rose (Crane) Stanley. She lived on several Navy bases and graduated from Churchland High School in 1956.

On August 23, 1958, she was united in marriage to Donald Fecht in Norfolk, Virginia and this union was blessed with four children: Dean, Donnette, Debra, and Darla. The family made their home in Huntley, Nebraska, until 1981, when they moved to Wilcox. Phyllis worked as a Dietitian at Colonial Villa in Alma, Phelps Memorial Health Center, and Holdrege Memorial Homes.

Phyllis enjoyed gardening and watching Hallmark Movies, but her family was most important. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Churches in Huntley and Wilcox.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Darla Fecht who died in infancy; and Deb Wilbur; her in-laws: Ben and Nettie (McArthur) Fecht; her brother, George and his wife, Eleanor; two sisters: Barbara Georgian and her husband Leo; Marilyn Goley and her husband, Bob; grandson, Ryan Fecht; and great-granddaughter, Addison Henery; four brothers-in-law: Roger Fecht and his wife, Delores; Delmer Fecht and his wife Ruth; Eugene Fecht and his wife, Jeanine; Ben Fecht; three sister-in-law: Paulene Fecht; Ruth Hook and her husband, Bennie; Margaret Johnson and her husband, Bob.

Phyllis leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Don Fecht of Wilcox; son, Dean Fecht and his wife, Joanne of Wilcox; daughter, Donnette Johnson and her husband, Blair of Wilcox; son-in-law, Mike Wilbur of Kenesaw, Nebraska; eight grandchildren: Jacob Fecht and his wife, Frances; Matthew Fecht and his wife, Shelby; Dustin Johnson and his wife, Autumn; Amber Henery and her husband, Brett; Bryce Johnson and his wife, Brooke; Kelsi Wilbur; Morgan Smith and her husband, Daniel; and Jordan Wilbur and her fiancé, Caleb Unick; ten great-grandchildren: Reagan and Chloe Johnson; Alexi, Grant, Gage, and Audrina Henery; Beckham and McCoy Johnson; Kayson Smith; and Barrett Fecht; one sister-in-law: Mary Fecht along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Wilcox, with family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Phyllis's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
