Randal "Randy" Louthan

Memorial service and celebration of life for Randal L. "Randy" Louthan will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Loomis Evangelical Free Church in Loomis, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Thompson officiating.

Randal Lee "Randy" Louthan, 68 years of age, of Loomis, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Randy was born on January 21, 1955, in Holdrege, Nebraska, the fourth of five children born to Robert and Patricia (Langtry) Louthan. He received his education from Loomis Public Schools, graduating from Loomis High School with the class of 1973.

On April 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Bragg in Loomis and to this union three children were born: Letisha, Thaddeus, and Samantha. The family made their home in Loomis, where Randy was self-employed and later worked for Schultz Transportation and the Loomis CO-OP Oil Company. Upon retirement, he has been staying active helping Blake Johnson harvest at 37-Ag.

Randy loved riding his motorcycle and absolutely loved entertaining everyone at his home. Most importantly he loved hanging with his grandkids and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia Louthan; son, Thad Louthan in 2015; three brothers: Larry Louthan; Leroy Louthan; and Rick Louthan and his wife, Becki.

He leaves to celebrate his life: two daughters: Letisha Lange and her husband, Brad of Beaver Lake, Nebraska; and Samantha Louthan and her boyfriend, Kyle Hort of Axtell; grandchildren: Sophia and Griffin Lange; Koeyn Louthan; Saige and Kyser Hort; former spouse, Marilyn Louthan; sister-in-law, Bonnie Louthan of North Carolina; nephews: Tallon Louthan of Florida; Michael and Robbie Louthan of North Carolina; one niece, Jennifer Kasal of Dorchester, Nebraska; along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial book signing will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Randy's honor and will be designated at a later date.
