Randall Lee Debban, 84 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege.  Randall was born on September 1, 1937, in Elwood, Nebraska, to Richard and Hattie (Koitsch) Debban.  Randall was confirmed June 29, 1952 in Elwood and received his education from Elwood Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1955.

On April 5, 1959, Randall was united in marriage to Meridee Schroeder, also from Elwood. To this union, they were blessed with four children: Lianne, Loren, Shari, and Michelle, who died in infancy. During his lifetime, he was employed by Central Nebraska Public Power & Irrigation as Control Operator at Canaday Steam Plant and later with Nebraska Public Power District, until his retirement in 2003. Randall was also self-employed as a residential contractor in the 1980s.

Randall was a current member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege. He served in various leadership positions during his lifetime with Lutheran churches in Elwood, Lexington, and Holdrege. He was proud of his Faith and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Randall believed nothing was more important than spending time with his children and watching his grandchildren grow. Randall had a passion for singing and enjoyed performing individually and with the Lexington Barbershop Chorus and church choirs. He demonstrated a strong work ethic his entire life and was adamant about doing the job correctly the first time. In his later years, he relished fishing in Alma and Elwood and spending time on construction projects and tinkering in his workshop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Michelle; four brothers:  Richard Debban; and Larry Debban and their wives; and Dale Debban and Roger Debban; and four sisters:  Fern Schultz, Berniece Fleischer, Norma Thinnes, and Inez Lierman and their husbands.

Randall is survived by his wife of 62 years, Meridee Debban of Holdrege; his three children: Lianne Umbenhower and her husband, Earl of Torrington, Wyoming; Loren Debban and wife, Lisa of Elkhorn, Nebraska; and Shari Rogers and her husband, J. Lance of Lincoln, Nebraska; nine grandchildren:  Christian Debban and his wife, Alyssa, and their son, Holden Debban, all of Carroll, Iowa; Chase Weidner of Naperville, Illinois; Seren Umbenhower of Fort Meyers, Florida; Conner Debban of Savage, Minnesota; Jessica Rogers of Omaha, Nebraska; McKade Umbenhower of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Caelan Debban of Norfolk, Nebraska; Jarred Rogers of Lincoln; and Caleb Aversman of Elkhorn; sisters-in-law: Carol Manning and her husband, Don of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Gwendolyn Debban of Omaha, Nebraska; along with extended family members, and many friends.
