Graveside Services for Raymond R. Winn will be conducted from the Kennard Cemetery, Kenard, Nebraska on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Owen Korte, officiating. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery. Following the graveside services, there will be a time for fellowship for family and friends at the St. Patricks Catholic Church in Fremont, Nebraska.
Raymond Robert Winn, 66 years of age, of Oxford, Nebraska (formerly of Fremont, Nebraska) passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his home in Oxford. Raymond was born October 21, 1942 at Red Oak, Iowa, the eldest of five children born to Ross and Viola (Wram) Winn. He received his primary education at Red Oak, Iowa and then graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Following his education, he was employed by the Fremont Department of Utilities in Water Treatment Maintenance. On August 20, 1966 he was united in marriage to Ruth Hodapp at Westphalia, Iowa and the couple was blessed with two children: Katherine and Kenneth.

In 1990, Raymond moved to Lexington, Nebraska where he was employed in water maintenance for IBP. In 1998 he relocated to Oxford, where he resided until his passing. While in Oxford, Raymond was employed by Brooks Ford until his retirement in 2005.

Raymond loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Katherine Griffen and her husband, Heath of Fremont; son, Kenny Winn and his wife, Sara of Lincoln, Nebraska; five grandchildren: Larsyn Winn of Lincoln and Nathan, Jeremy, Samantha and Josh Griffen all of Fremont; one brother, Ross Winn and his wife, Judy of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Cindy Hinkel of Fremont and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Curtis and Larry Winn.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established in his memory to establish a college fund for his grandchildren.
