Memorial Graveside Services for Richard Kent Hardy will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orleans Cemetery at Orleans, Nebraska with Pastor Dave Irwin, officiating.

Richard Kent Hardy, 55 years of age, of Orleans, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 at his home in Orleans. Kent was born December 20, 1954 at Norton, Kansas, the youngest of two sons born to Harold "Dutch" and Jo Ann (Stahn) Hardy. He was raised on a farm south of Orleans and received his education from Orleans Public Schools.

Following his education, Kent engaged in a variety of jobs throughout his life and most recently employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed working on vehicles in the company of his friends. Kent had a passion for motorcycles and always enjoyed the time spent with his wide circle of friends.

He leaves to mourn his passing his brother, Mark Hardy and his wife, Kathy of Chappell, Nebraska; two nieces: Amanda Hardy of Sidney, Nebraska and Margo Hardy of Omaha, Nebraska; one nephew, Ben Hardy of Chappell; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Kent was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established in his memory and will be designated at a later date.
