Graveside Services and Interment for Richard E. Park will be conducted from the Woodruff Cemetery at Woodruff, Kansas on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wes Holen, officiating.
Richard Eugene Park, 63 years of age, of Oxford, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Colonial Villa Good Samaritan Center in Alma, Nebraska. Richard was born June 28, 1946 near Naponee, in Harlan County, Nebraska, the youngest of three children of Robert E. and Margaret G. (Brownlee) Park. He received his education at Stamford, Nebraska and Greeley, Colorado. Following his education, Richard was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Winder. The couple made their home in Oxford, where Richard was employed as a welder for Better Buys. In 1991 he was injured in a motor vehicle accident and was unable to continue working.
He enjoyed woodworking, watching his favorite programs on TV and most of all he loved visiting with his family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Edward Park in infancy and sister, Virginia Feldman.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial has been established in his memory and will be designated at a later date.
