Funeral Services for Robby L. Schumacher will be conducted from the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Kenton Birtell, officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Robby Lynn Schumacher, 21 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009 as the result of a motor vehicle accident near Alda, Nebraska. Robby was born October 7, 1988 at Ogallala, Nebraska, the youngest of three sons born to Michael and Cindy (Bargstadt) Schumacher. He was confirmed on April 13, 2003 at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege. Robby received his education at Holdrege, graduating from Holdrege High School with the class of 2007. During his high school years, Robby participated in football and golf.

He then pursued higher education at the Central Community College-Hastings Campus, where he was pursuing a career in Heating and Air Conditioning. A career that Robby was focused and excited to begin in just a few weeks following his graduation. Even as a young child, Robby could make friends with anyone and this continued throughout the years as he loved spending time with his friends and family.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, camp and enjoyed golfing. During his college time, Robby thoroughly enjoyed coaching Optimist Football in Hastings. In his free time, Robby loved to ride the open road on his motorcycle.

He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Mike and Cindy Schumacher of Holdrege; brother, Ross Schumacher of Grand Island, Nebraska; grandparents: Bob and Wanda Schumacher of Hartington, Nebraska, Mary Lou and Lonnie Saskschewsky of Hartington; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Bargstadt; and one brother, Joston Schumacher in infancy.

Visitation will be held at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established and will be designated at a later date.
