Robert "Bob" Anderson

A funeral service for Robert L. Anderson will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege with Pastor Jean Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Bertrand, Nebraska.

Robert Lee "Bob" Anderson, 81 years of age, of Overton, Nebraska, formerly of Bertrand passed away, on December 28, 2022, at his home. Bob was born in Lexington, Nebraska, on January 28, 1941. He received his education from Bertrand, and Sterling, Colorado Public Schools. Bob served in the National Guards for two years.

For 25 years, Bob was a painter for American Motors Corporation which was bought out by Chrysler in 1987.

On January 8, 1961, Bob was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Shimble and they had one child, Penny. The couple made their home in Lexington. The marriage later ended in divorce. Bob and his partner Marjorie "Mickie" Cluckman had three children: Robin, Jackie, and Jaymon.

Bob enjoyed watching wrestling. He loved spending time with his grandchildren especially playing jokes on them and watching them play sports.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Cecil Myers; and his grandparents, Elenora and Ralph Osborn.

Bob is survived by his children: Penny Poss and her husband, Larry of Elba, Nebraska; Robin Anderson of Rylander, Wisconsin; Jackie Gloyd and her husband, Jim of Wisconsin Dell, Wisconsin; and Jaymon Anderson of Eagle River, Wisconsin; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Bob's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
