A Memorial Service for Robert C. Fisher, Sr. will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Fellowship Church in Alma, Nebraska with Pastor Michael Bell officiating. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the memorial service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Alma Cemetery.
Robert Carl Fisher, Sr., 80 years of age, of Republican City, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Robert was born on April 25, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska, the youngest child born to William and Dorothy (Johnson) Fisher. He graduated from high school and pursued higher education to become a Civil Engineer.
Robert was united in marriage to Dorothy and this union was blessed with one son, Rob, Jr. The family made their home in Lincoln, Nebraska, where Robert owned and operated his own construction business.
On June 10, 1983, Robert was united in marriage to Carol A. (Dunn) Tweedy at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lincoln. This union added Carol's three daughters: Tamara, Sandra, and Patricia. The couple made their home in the Lincoln area, and Robert continued with his business, Fisher Auto Glass, in Davey, Nebraska, from 1985 to 2005. They then began to make their home in Republican City in 2005. Robert enjoyed serving others.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Carol in 2016.
He leaves to celebrate his life: his son, Rob Fisher and his wife, Jennifer of Wichita; along with other relatives and many friends.
Robert has bequeathed his physical body. There will be no visitation, viewing, or memorial book signing.
A memorial has been established in Robert's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
