Robert D Leach

Celebration of Life Service for Robert D. Leach will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Chaplain Thayne Moore officiating.

Robert Duane Leach, 57 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at his residence in Holdrege. Robert was born April 15, 1958 at Boise, Idaho, the youngest of four children born to Harold and Darlene (Osborn) Leach. He received his primary education from Atlanta Public School and then a rural school in Phelps County. Robert then graduated from Loomis High School with the class of 1977.

Following his education, Robert began a career in construction and also worked as a carpet installer for several years. Throughout the years, Robert always had a special place in his heart for animals. He was a loving, thoughtful person that loved to laugh. Robert treated everyone with care and understanding. He was one not to judge others, but to relate and have compassion.

The family knew not to call during his favorite show, the Price is Right. In later years, Robert was proud of the fact that he was baptized and found Jesus as his Personal Savior.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; brother-in-law, Steven Daily; sister-in-law, Sharon Kay Leach and two nieces: Brynn Daily and Stephanie Leach.

Robert leaves to celebrate his life; his two brothers: Richard Leach and his wife, Laurie of Kearney and Ronald Leach of Topeka, Kansas; one sister, Debbie Daily of Kearney; his former wife, Connie Leach of Holdrege; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Robert's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Robert's honor and will be designated at a later date.
