Robert Riley "Bob" Stark, 81 years of age, of Alma, Nebraska, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his home in Alma. Bob was born on November 4, 1941, in El Paso, Texas, the younger of two sons, born to Norvel and Margaret (Yost) Stark.

From 1965-1970, Bob earned multiple distinctions, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, as an Air Force Captain, for his service piloting C-130's in combat support and relief missions during more than 3,000 hours of combat flight time.

After his Honorable Discharge, Bob went to enjoy multiple careers, culminating as a Certified Flight Instructor at Erie Airport in Colorado.  Along with his former wife, Barbara, he raised three children while operating businesses in both Texas and Colorado.

Bob was preceded in death by one grandson, and one great-granddaughter.

Surviviors include his wife, Kay Stark; his brother, Richard; his sons:  Robert "Beau", Jr.; and William "Bill"; daughter, Rebecca Thornberry; step-children:  Pamela Thompson; and David Harbour, and their spouses; along with 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
