Ronald L. Bachar

A Private Graveside Remembrance Service and Inurnment for Ronald L. Bachar will be held at the Alma Cemetery at Alma, Nebraska.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Zion Chapel at Mosaic at Bethphage Village Campus in Axtell, Nebraska at a later date.

Ronald Lee "Ron" Bachar, 78 years of age, of rural Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege.  Ron was born on December 22, 1941, at Kearney, Nebraska, to Irma L. Bachar.  He moved to the Beatrice State Development Center in Beatrice, Nebraska at three and a half years old.

In 1994, Ron began to make his home at the Sherman Group Home in Holdrege.  For the last 14½ years, he made his home with the Randy and Trixie Swearingen family.  Ronald made sure the Swearingen's had the dogs and horses fed every day.  He loved all animals but enjoyed feeding and watching birds.  He would most often be found out on the deck in the sun, drinking coffee or watching nature shows.  Ronald especially enjoyed trips to Florida and Louisiana; to attend activities at SeaWorld and visit alligator farms.  His most cherished times were spent with his "family" and attending PBR Rodeos, across the Midwest.

Ronald will be remembered by most by always trying to give away his teeth.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Irma Bachar; and his grandparents:  Simon W. and Edna Pearl (Essick) Bachar.

Ron leaves to celebrate his life; his host family:  Randy and Trixie Swearingen and their family of Holdrege; and guardian, Stephen Scherr of Omaha, Nebraska.

There will be no visitation or viewing.  They are honoring Ron's wish for cremation.
