Memorial Gathering for Ronald A. Budgick will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at 408 East Street in Oxford, Nebraska. Memorial Graveside Services will be conducted from Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with military honors provided by the North Platte Veterans Organization Honor Team.
Ronald Antone Budgick, 70 years of age, of Arapahoe, Nebraska (formerly of Oxford, Nebraska), passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at his home in Arapahoe. Ronald was born June 10, 1940, the son of Stanley Edward and Jean (Shirkey) Budgick. He received his primary education from Wakefield Elementary School in Wakefield, Michigan and then from Gladstone High School in Gladstone, Michigan. He served his country in the United States Army from November 5, 1957 until his honorable discharge on September 2, 1959. He later continued his service in the Merchant Marines for several years.
He was united in marriage to Gloria Baca, the couple made their home in Oxford for many years and later moved to Arapahoe, to be near family. He resided in Arapahoe until his passing.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Nicholas Andrew.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Gloria of Arapahoe; children: Rick and Patti Budgick of Wakefield, Michigan, Angie Budgick of Florence, Michigan, Rhonda and Jeff Heuer of Wisconsin, Joe Flores of Arapahoe, Wendee Budgick of Florence, MI, Brenda and Matt Thayer of Wisconsin, Janice and Rick Stagemeyer of Arapahoe, William and Laura Watson of Arapahoe, Ronald Bernier of Arapahoe; his mother, Jean LaBean of Wakefield; sister, Mitzi Greer of Vassar, Michigan; brother, Alan Jackson and his wife, Tracy of Michigan; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established in his memory and will be designated at a later date.
