Memorial Mass for Rosemary J. Furse will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Jamie Hottovy officiating. Rosary will be prior to the Mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Orleans.

Rosemary Joan Furse, 79 years of age, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Orleans, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her home in Lincoln.  Rosemary was born June 9, 1937, in Arcadia, Wisconsin, the eldest of four children born to Ailred John and Lillian Elizabeth (Kamla) Haines.  Rosemary attended grade school in Republican City, Alma and Orleans, and then graduated from Orleans High School with the class of 1955.  She worked as a Nurse's Aide in North Platte, Nebraska for 10 years and then returned to school, becoming a LPN from Great Plains Community College in North Platte in 1979. She then continued working for the next 25 years in various nursing homes.

Rosemary was united in marriage to Bobby Lee Furse in June 1955, and to this union three children were born:  Larry, Cindy, and Garold.  They made their home in Alma, Orleans, Oxford, Arapahoe, Lincoln, Fort Collins, Colorado, and later settled in North Platte.  They divorced in 1974.

Rosemary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and visiting with friends, but most of all, she had a passionate love for her children and grandchildren.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Annette Ralston.

She is survived by her three children: daughter, Cindy Geu and her husband, David of Buena Vista, Colorado; son, Larry Furse of Whittier, California; son, Garold "Gary" Furse and his wife, Roxanne of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters:  Joyce Middleton and Linda Bantam and her husband, John all of Orleans, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Gary Ralston of Creighton, Nebraska; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is honoring Rosemary's wish for cremation.

A Memorial Book Signing will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans.

A memorial has been established in Rosemary's honor and will be designated at a later date.
