Russell Henry Carr, 66 years of age, of Wilcox, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home. Russell was born in Aurora, Nebraska, on July 17, 1958, the fourth of five children to Glenn D. and Irene Catherine (Schmitz) Carr. Russ attended Wilcox Public Schools and graduated from Wilcox High School with the class of 1977.

Following his education, Russ started working at the Hay Mill in Kearney, Nebraska. He later worked at the Coop and Carr Repair Shop in Wilcox, as well as the Café in Lincoln with his grandmother.

Russ enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and taking any opportunity he could to shoot guns. He likes to play cornhole, cards, and put puzzles together. Russ loved to hang out with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one brother, Daniel Carr.

Russell is survived by his siblings: Glenda Parker and her husband, Neal of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; Gene Carr and his wife, Jennifer of Kearney, Nebraska; and Randy Carr and his wife, Tracy of Wilcox; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; along with other loving relatives and many friends.
