Russell Vincent Lowe

A funeral service for Russell V. Lowe will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Pastor Kenton Birtell officiating. Interment will follow at Freewater Cemetery rural Ragan, Nebraska.

Russell Vincent Lowe, infant son of James and Abigail (Harms) Lowe, of Kearney, Nebraska, was born on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Methodist Women's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.  Russell was baptized by his father in the hospital on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and was welcomed into Heaven, in the arms of Jesus shortly after.

Russell was preceded in death by: his aunt, Katharine "Katie" (Harms) Sisson; and great-grandparents:  Homer and Jean Teter; and Robert and Henrietta Harms; John "Shot" and Andrea Lowe; and Ralph Meyer.

Russell is survived by his parents, James and Abigail (Harms) Lowe of Kearney; his big sister, Hazel Lowe; maternal grandparents: Greg and Julie Harms of rural Wilcox, Nebraska; paternal grandparents: Tim and Mary Beth Lowe of Kearney; an aunt: Emily (Derek) Gardels of Elkhorn, Nebraska; uncles: Ben (Deanna) Harms of rural Wilcox; Brian Sisson of Arapahoe, Nebraska; Nate Lowe of Kearney; and Thomas Lowe of Kearney; cousins: Graham, Harper and Millie Sisson; Isaac, Madelyn, Easton, Juliana and Kathryn Gardels; great-grandmother, Barbara Meyer of Nebraska City, Nebraska; along with many extended family members.

There will not be a visitation or viewing, the evening prior to the service.

A memorial has been established in Russell's honor to the family for future designation.
