Sandy Kay Wiese, 74 years of age, of Ragan, Nebraska passed away, on January 29, 2022, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege surrounded by family. Sandy was born in Litchfield, Nebraska on April 11, 1947, the eldest of three children, born to Earl and Genon (Sinkler) Douglas. She received her education from Ravenna Public School in Ravenna, Nebraska and later attended and graduated from Ravenna High School, with the class of 1965.

On September 17, 1967, Sandy was united in marriage to Lloyd Wiese at Ravenna and to this union four children were born: Stephanie, Brenda, Bradley and Corey. The couple made their home around the Holdrege area where she worked at various jobs while lovingly raising and supporting her family. The highlight of her work life was being called "Grandma Sandy" while working as kitchen staff at Wilcox-Hildreth Public Schools.

Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life, she followed them to all their activities and sports. Sandy was an avid Husker football and Volleyball fan. She loved to crochet and the madder she was at her Huskers the faster she would crochet.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and sister, Bobbie Jo in infancy.

Sandy leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Lloyd Wiese of Ragan; children: Steph Waltemath and her husband, Kent of Holdrege; Brenda Smith and her husband, Tim of Ragan; Bradley Wiese of Fremont, Nebraska; and Corey Wiese and his wife, Tina of Holdrege; grandchildren: Brandon Waltemath and his wife, Sara; Ty Waltemath and his wife, Aimee; Emily Keith and her husband, Geoffrey; Ryan Smith and his significant other, Savannah Beck; Jacob Wiese and his wife, Hannah; Eli Wiese and his fiancé, Olivia Hamilton; Alec Wiese and his fiancé, Heidi Odom; Cade Wiese; Brooklyn Wiese; eight great-grandchildren: one brother, Kenny Douglas and his wife, Roberta of Columbus, Nebraska; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
