Sharee J. Ring

A memorial service for Sharee J. Ring will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alma United Methodist Church in Alma, Nebraska with Pastor Seong Lee officiating.

Sharee JoAnn Ring, 59 years of age, of Alma, passed away, on May 1, 2024, at her home in Alma. Sharee was born in Alliance, Nebraska on November 7, 1964, the second of five children, born to Eldon and Betty Jo (Hays) Grove. She attended Oxford Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1983. Sharee pursued higher education and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mary Lanning School of Nursing in 1985.

On October 26, 1985, Sharee was united in marriage to Bruce Ring at the Baptist Church in Oxford, Nebraska and to this union, four boys were born: Jacob, Alexander, Brendan, and Garrett. The couple made their home in Alma where Sharee made her career as a Registered Nurse working at the hospital in Oxford until it closed. She then worked at Harlan County Health Systems in Alma, Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, AseraCare Hospice, and most recently Good Samaritan Society - Home Care in Alma.

Sharee enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, and tending to her plants. Above all, she loved playing with her grandchildren. She was an avid volunteer helping out wherever needed.

Sharee was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rodney and Sandra Ring.

Sharee is survived by her husband, Bruce Ring of Alma; four sons: Jacob Ring and his wife, Erin of Orleans, Nebraska; Alexander Ring and his wife, Lacoln of Blue Hill, Nebraska; Brendan Ring and his wife Katie of Alma; and Garrett Ring and his wife, Leah of Alma; three grandsons: Sawyer Ring; Knox Ring; and Willson Ring; three brothers: Roderick Grove and his wife, Patti of Lincoln, Nebraska; Mark Grove and his wife, Beth of Beaver City, Nebraska; Troy Grove of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Tricia Wilhelm and her husband, Jeff of Republican City, Nebraska; Sharee's special son, JC Nelsen; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Sharee's wish for cremation.
