It is with sadness that the family of Sharon McPeak shares the news of her peaceful passing on October 7, 2022, in Santa Clarita, California. Sharon was born on December 20, 1944, and grew up on the family farm near Republican City, Nebraska, attended school and graduated from Naponee, then attended Kearney State College before beginning her banking career, first in Republican City and then moving to Colorado where she met and married Harold West. They then moved to California where they started their family and had two sons. They later divorced. Sharon later married Gary McPeak and continued her career in California, retiring from Bank of America in Sacramento in 1993, where she had made many lifetime friends.

Sharon was kind-hearted and generous to all who knew her. Her favorite pastimes were hosting holiday feasts—Sharon served the best roast turkey and pecan pie, ever! - and decorating her home for the holidays. She loved playing pinochle with friends, golfing, collecting antiques, and traveling in the United States. We will miss her laughter and mischievous sense of humor that she always maintained even during the last years of her illness.

We acknowledge her caregivers, Vincent and Norma, for their attentiveness to Sharon's needs and we thank Sharon's loyal friends who have meant so much to her through the years.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Godeken.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother, Hilda, of Alma, Nebraska, her sons, Jerry and David West (Allison) and grandchildren, Caden, Morgyn and Brayson West of Santa Clarita, her sister, Sonja Godeken (Tom Corbin) of Mansf ield, Texas, brother, Steve (Kathy) of Republican City, and sister Shelly Wright (Ron) of Incline Village, Nevada, nieces Katie Wright and Kimberly Fremgen (John) and nephew Jordan Wright (fiancé Nina) and great-nephew, Broden Godeken, great nieces Julia and Grace Fremgen.

A memorial has been established in Sharon's honor, and kindly suggested to Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation.
