Celebration of Life Visitation for Shawna L. (Mihm) Beach will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell-Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Oxford, Nebraska with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Following the traditional visitation, the family is honoring Shawna's wish for cremation and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Shawna Lea Beach, 49 years of age of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home, following a courageous battle against lupus, since 2010. Shawna was born June 11, 1969 in Hastings, Nebraska, the first and only child born to Daniel Gene and Peggy Lee (Luttrell) Mihm.  She received her education from Holdrege High School, where she graduated with the class of 1988. Shawna then pursued higher education at Grand Island Central Community College, where she received her credentials in accounting.  Shawna had 3 children; Jacqulynn, Casey and Kenneth.

On May 5, 2001 she was united in marriage to Arden Ray Beach in Funk, Nebraska, and the family made their home in Oxford. Shawna worked as an Accountant and Tax Specialist at H&R Block in Lexington, Nebraska for over 10 years, until her health began to fail.

Shawna enjoyed Nebraska Football, NASCAR Racing, crafting and her family.  Shawna's greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and she treasured all her time spent with them.

She was preceded in death by: an infant son, Christian; step-father, Richard "Kent" Hardy; mother-in-law, Lois Beach; her grandfather, Kenneth Luttrell; and her grandparents, Bob and Doris Mihm.

She leaves to celebrate her life; husband, Arden Beach of Oxford; her grandmother, Betty Luttrell of Orleans, Nebraska; mother, Peggy Hardy of rural Elm Creek, Nebraska; father Daniel Mihm and his wife, Kathy of Sutton, Nebraska; her children:  Jackie Hoffmeister and her husband, George of Gibbon, Nebraska; Casey Kennedy and her husband, Nicholas of Fort Riley Kansas; and son, Kenneth Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska; five grandchildren:  Taylor, George, Sophia, Raelynn, and Harper; three siblings: Shon Anderson and his wife, Emily of Holdrege; Angee Anderson; and Dusty Mihm of Clay Center, Nebraska; along with a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial has been established in Shawna's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
