Shirley M Lipker

A funeral service for Shirley M. Lipker will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Oxford, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Wiese officiating.

Interment will be held following the service at 1:30 p.m. at the Orleans Cemetery in Orleans, Nebraska.

Shirley Mae Lipker, 92 years of age, of Oxford, formerly of Alma, Nebraska passed away, on May 18, 2024, at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege. Shirley was born in Belleville, Kansas on August 27, 1931, the youngest of eight children, born to Frank and Lydia (King) Everhart.

She graduated from Belleville High School, with the class of 1949. Years later she met Ray at Belleville skating rink then married him on February 3, 1957, and to this union two children were born: Darwin Ray and Cynthia Sue. The family made their home in various towns in Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.

She was employed at colonial Villa in Alma for 10 years where she had a lot of fun with the ladies she worked with. Shirley also enjoyed being around family and loved all holidays. She loved lots of jewelry, shoes, and pretty clothes.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Cindy Kaup and her husband, Donn of Oxford; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Darwin in 2006; four brothers; and three sisters.

Memorials in Shirley's honor are suggested to the family for a later designation.
