Private Family Funeral Services for Teresa Peden will be held at the Orleans Presbyterian Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Pastor Dave Irwin officiating.  Additionally, Public Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the Stamford Cemetery at Stamford, Nebraska. The family asks that you bring your own chair and/or umbrella to the service.

Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services will be followed. The Peden family sincerely encourages each person to make their decision whether to attend Teresa's graveside service based on the best interest of your health, and that of your community. Teresa Marie Peden, 58 years of age, of rural Orleans, Nebraska, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at her home in rural Orleans, following a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Teresa was born on February 24, 1962, at Cozad, Nebraska, the younger of two children, to William L. "Bill" and Elizabeth "Marie" (Jewett) Peden.  She received her primary education from Lexington Elementary Schools, and graduated from Orleans High School with the class of 1980.  Teresa pursued higher education and received her LPN-C.

Teresa was blessed with one son, Shea.

Teresa cared for three individuals for MNIS at her home in Orleans.  She then began working as a LPN for many years at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska, and the Harlan County Hospital in Alma, Nebraska.  In later years, she began to operate TP's Burger Barn in Orleans.  She enjoyed the day-to-day interaction with her customers and friends.  Teresa and Larry could often be found driving the county-side, checking the crops and fields, and cattle.  She enjoyed crafting, quilting, crocheting, and adding her special touch decorating the house.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Bill Peden on July 21, 2019; her grandparents; along with many of her aunts and uncles.

Teresa is survived by; the love of her life, Larry Bose of rural Orleans; her son, Shea Peden of Kearney, Nebraska; Larry's daughter, Rachelle Bose and Roger Smith of Lake Placid, New York; mother, Marie Peden of Orleans; brother, Rick Peden and his wife, Ladonna of Claremore, Oklahoma; foster sister, Lydia Patrick and her husband, Rick of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; aunt, Linda Stoehr of California; along with many extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Orleans Presbyterian Church in Orleans.

A memorial has been established in Teresa's honor, and kindly suggested to Harlan County for the Cure.
