A Memorial Service for Terri A. Gressett will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Daren Popple officiating. An inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska.

Terri Ann Gressett, 75 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 26, 2021, at her home in Holdrege. Terri was born on September 23, 1945 in McClusky, North Dakota the youngest of nine children born to William and Kate (Helm) Wagner. She received her primary education from Grace City Public School, graduating valedictorian of her class in 1963. She pursued higher education earning her beautician certificate from Queen Ann's School of Cosmetology in Kearney.
On June 12, 1965, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Gressett at Phillipsburg, Kansas and to this union four children were born: Miki, Michael William, Zachary, and Katrina. Bill and Terri first made their home in Kearney. After Bill was inducted into the United States Navy, the couple made their home at Great Lakes Naval Base in Great Lakes, Illinois, and Bill served his first tour in Vietnam. She followed him to his first assignment at the Alameda Naval Base in San Francisco, California.
After Bill's time in the service, the family lived in Dallas, Texas, until relocating back to Nebraska, where they resided in Kearney until 1971, and then moved to Holdrege. The family moved to Bertrand, Nebraska in 1977; Guernsey, Wyoming in 1979; Lexington, Nebraska in early 1984, and in late 1984, they settled back in Holdrege. Terri had a beautician shop in Holdrege called First Impressions from 1990-1992 and most recently worked for Becton Dickinson in Holdrege. On July 20, 2020, she was preceded in death by Bill.
Terri loved to garden, she had beautiful flowers and a well-kept lawn. She was a dog lover especially her dogs: Tasha, Pepe, and Emma, along with her grand dogs: Juniper, Kaylee; and Reilly. Terri could be found walking around North Park, boating with her family or attending concerts with friends. She was very social and loved to talk to others whether she knew them already or had just made a new friend.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael William Gressett in infancy; one son-in-law: Mike Smith; six siblings: Alvina Roemmich and her husband Jake; Leroy Wagner; Arley "Skip" Wagner; William Jr. Wagner; Alice Willey and her husband Don; Doug Wagner; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Faye Grothen; and Phyllis Wagner.
Terri leaves to celebrate her life: her children: Miki Gain of Elkins, West Virginia; Zachary Gressett of Phoenix, Arizona; and Katrina Gressett of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren: Liam Gain of West Union, West Virginia; and Taylor Gain of Elkins; two siblings: Leona Kindt and her husband, David of Kearney, Nebraska; Alvin Wagner of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law: Elsie Wagner of Carrington, North Dakota; Jill Wagner of Spokane Valley, Washington; and Karen Wagner of Devils Lake, North Dakota; along with a host of extended family, and friends.
A Memorial Book Signing will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Terri's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
