Terry Puls, devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandparent passed away peacefully in his home with Theresa at his side in Holdrege, on January 12, 2023, at the age of 72.

Terry was born in Elwood, Nebraska, to Leonard and Evelyn Puls. He spent the entirety of his school years in Elwood participating in all sports as well as the Boys' Choir. At age 16, Terry saw Theresa Fagot walk into the Lexington Vet's Club and said, "That one is mine."  After joining the Catholic Church, he married Theresa in August 1970 and loved her deeply for 52 years. No one could have loved Terry more than Theresa.

Terry got his start as a meat cutter in his father's Jack & Jill grocery store. From there, Terry went to Hinky Dinky in Fremont. In 1975, Terry and Theresa moved to Holdrege where Terry helped develop and manage the meat market at the newly opened Hinky Dinky. The couple bought their first restaurant, The Speakeasy, in 1980 and built TP's in 1983. In 2004, they purchased the Red River in Minden. Terry and Theresa worked side by side for 33 years. In 2013, Terry proudly handed over the keys to The Speakeasy to his son, Ryan. (Thank you, Ryan, for loving The Speakeasy as much as we did.) Terry adored his wife and loved his family and friends dearly. In addition to cooking, he was also passionate about the game of golf and enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Theresa; children, Julie (Alden) Weaver of North Tustin, California, Ryan (Julie) Puls of Holdrege, Sean (Becky) Puls of Kearney, Nebraska; grandchildren, Sophia Puls; Maya and Lizzy Weaver; and Jude, Rylan, and Indie Puls; mother-in-law, Anita Fagot; brothers Jerry (Mac) Puls; Tom (Margo) Puls; and Larry (Dee) Puls; brothers-in-law:  Mark (Eunice) Fagot; John Fagot; and Dave (Mag) Fagot; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by:  his beautiful son, J D Puls; his parents; his father-in-law, Paul Fagot; brother-in-law, Buck Fagot; and a sister-in-law, Marge Fagot.

There will be no visitation, viewing, or memorial book signing the evening prior to the service.  It was Terry's wish that his body be donated to the Nebraska Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to All Saints Catholic Church or Meals on Wheels of Holdrege.
