Thaddeus Allen Louthan

Celebration of Life Service for Thad Louthan will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastors Murray Jones and Tom Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Thaddeus Allen "Thad" Louthan, 33 years of age, of Goehner, Nebraska (formerly of Loomis, Nebraska) passed away early Thursday morning, September 3, 2015 as the result of a one vehicle accident near Seward, Nebraska. Thad was born April 16, 1982 in Holdrege, the middle of three children born to Randy and Marilyn (Bragg) Louthan. He received his education from Loomis Public School, graduating from Loomis High School with the class of 2000.



After high school Thad moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he worked for a few years at Yankee Hill Brick and Tile. He then began working for Lincoln Industries, where he was currently employed at the time of his passing. Thad made his home in Goehner, Nebraska for the past year and a half, where he bought a farm house and enjoyed the restoration process of making it his own! He especially loved inviting friends and family over to socialize around the fire pit.


Thad had been taken too soon from his most precious gift given from God, his son, Koeyn Allen Louthan. He always wanted his own family, and he was blessed with the birth of his son two days after his own birthday on April 18, 2009. They were two peas in a pod, and adored each other. Koeyn mentioned one time, "My Dad is cool, he is my best friend!" They loved going to the children's museum, the Lincoln and Omaha Zoos, fishing, and spending time together working on cars.

Besides Thad's parents: Randy Louthan of Loomis, and Marilyn Louthan of Holdrege; he is survived by his son, Koeyn Louthan of Loomis; his sister, Tisha Lange and her husband, Brad of Beaver Lake, Nebraska; sister, Samantha Louthan of Holdrege; niece and nephew: Sophia and Griffin Lange; grandfather, Robert Louthan and his wife, Ruth of Holdrege; grandmother, Elna Bragg of Holdrege; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Bragg; paternal grandmother, Patricia (Langtry) Louthan; nephew, Michael Smith and aunt and uncles: Larry Allen Louthan, John Leroy Louthan, and Becki Louthan.

Visitation for Thad will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Thad's honor and will be designated at a later date.
