Memorial Services for Theo M. Hueske, will be conducted from the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home of Holdrege on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Heather Shoup, officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Edison Cemetery, Edison, Nebraska.

Theo Mae Hueske, 82 years of age of Pleasant Grove, Utah (formerly of Holdrege, Nebraska) passed away in Pleasant Grove on Thursday, December 14, 2006. She was born September 4, 1924 in Dorchester, Wisconsin, the 5th of 6 children born to Orrie and Hazel (Sample) Underwood. The family lived in Dorchester where Theo attended school, and graduated from Dorchester High School with the class of 1941.

Theo served her country in the Air Corps during WWII and was stationed at Ft. Romules, Michigan, where she worked as a "follow me" jeep driver, parking the B-52's as they landed.

On August 27, 1945 DeEtte was born to John Cornell and Theo Underwood. After John's death in 1945, Theo and DeEtte moved to Oxford, Nebraska where she was she employed by the Oxford Café. In 1949 she started Beauty School in Hastings, Nebraska and graduated from the school in 1950. In 1951 she was united in marriage to Orville Hueske. The family made their home near Hastings where they engaged in farming. From 1963 to 1965, Theo operated the Holdrege Beauty Center, and later managed the Kearney Beauty Center from 1965 to 1969. She came back to Holdrege and opened the Beauty Center Professional Salon, which she operated from 1976 to 1998. In 1998 she retired and sold her business. Theo moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah in 2001 to remain close with her daughter.

Theo was a member of the American Legion, grew beautiful roses, and loved her cat, Velvet.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, DeEtte Hueske of Pleasant Grove, Utah; one brother, Leo Underwood of Abbotsford, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Donna Underwood of Medford, Wisconsin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Louis, Orville, Don and Hal Underwood.

There will not be a visitation, to honor Theo's wishes, she was cremated.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
