Memorial Services for Toby V. Spaulding will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Kenton Birtell officiating.
Private family inurnment will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege, Nebraska.
Toby Valleau Spaulding, 39 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 as a result of a motor vehicle accident south of Elm Creek, Nebraska in northern Phelps County. Toby was born August 8, 1980 in Holdrege, to Gary V. and Wanda (Jackson) Spaulding. He attended Holdrege Public Schools and graduated from Holdrege High School.
On November 1, 2004, Toby was united in marriage to Karen A. Forsburg. The couple made their home in Holdrege. On September 22, 2010, Karen preceded him in death. Toby was currently working at The Scoular Company in Holdrege.
Toby enjoyed fishing; and playing with his nieces and nephews. He attended Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege.
Besides his wife, Karen; Toby was preceded in death by: a sister-in-law, Kristi Loschen on May 27, 2010; his father, Gary V. Spaulding on November 12, 2011; his step-father, Val Reed on January 10, 2017; and grandfather, S. Wayne Jackson on July 29, 2019.
He leaves to celebrate his life; his mother, Wanda M. Reed of rural Wilcox, Nebraska; three sisters: Terri Ann Bach and her husband, Jason of Alma, Nebraska; Lisa Stoddard and her husband, Jason of Axtell, Nebraska; and Amburr Skiles and her husband, Kyle of Holdrege; one brother, Alan Dean Loschen of Wilcox; step-sister, Shawna DeMars and her husband, Jaimy Nixon of Manley, Nebraska; step-brother, Brad J. Reed of rural Elm Creek; grandmother, Vera Jackson of Franklin, Nebraska; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family has chosen cremation.
A memorial has been established in Toby's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
