Travis A. Fichter

A Time of Gathering and Remembrance for Travis A. Fichter will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with an open mic time of sharing, starting at 2:00 p.m.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later time.

Travis Allen Fichter, 39 years of age, of Alma, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Harlan County Health Systems in Alma. Travis was born December 3, 1979, in Carroll, Iowa, the fourth of five children born to Dennis and Linda (Richards) Fichter. He received his primary education in Iowa, and graduated from Wilcox High School with the class of 1998.

Travis worked at BD as a Mold Technician in Holdrege.

Travis was a star athlete and loved by all. He loved his dogs; enjoyed working out; and golfing; but most of all he loved his Husker Football.  Go Big Red!!  He was the best son and sibling that anyone could ask for!

Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents: Earl and Yvonne (Rudig) Richards; and Donald and Joann Fichter.

Those left to celebrate his life include; his mom and step-dad, Linda Stattler and her husband, Tim of rural Holdrege; his father, Dennis Fichter of Griswold, Iowa; three sisters:  Lisa Clark and her husband, Dwayne of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Allison Schepker of Holdrege; and Liz Isaacson and her husband, Brian of Belleville, Kansas; brother, Trevor Stattler of Holdrege; along with special nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends.

The family has honored Travis' wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Travis' honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
