Funeral Services for Vonnie E. Fouts will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Naponee, Nebraska with Pastor Scott Randall officiating. Interment will follow at the Naponee Cemetery.
Vonnie Eujean Fouts, 79 years of age, of Naponee, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Harlan County Health Systems in Alma. Vonnie was born on October 30, 1936 in Buffalo, Wyoming, the fifth of six children to Curtis and Alta June (Coontz) Kincheloe.
She received her education from Mtn. Grove High School in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, graduating with the class of 1955.
On February 6, 1955, Vonnie was united in marriage to John Russell Fouts in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. To this union two daughters were born: Shella and Jo. The family made their home in many states and countries, with John serving in the United States Army and retired in Naponee where they have resided for the last 45 years.
Vonnie enjoyed her family and grandchildren, loved working with her potted plants and watching the various birds that frequented her bird feeders. She attended the Naponee Wesleyan Church.
Vonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Alta June (Coontz) Kincheloe; her sisters, Phyllis Wheeler, Eunice Murline Roark, and Olivia Fern Hollingshad; her brother Edward Dale Kincheloe; three grandchildren: Krystal Duren, Daniel Duren and John Duren; and great-granddaughter, Lorelei Duren.
She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband of 60 years, John Russell of Naponee; daughters, Shella Nottoli of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Jo Fouts of Sandwich, Illinois; two grandsons, Steven Duren and his wife, Ashley of Alma and Chris Nottoli of Fort Smith; brother, Doyle Kincheloe and his wife, Patty of Stigler, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, James Hollingshad of Dora, Missouri; along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
A memorial has been established in Vonnie's honor and kindly suggested to the Naponee Wesleyan Church Kids Club Ministry.
