Wesley D. Moseman

A Memorial Service for Wes Moseman will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Alma, Nebraska with Pastor Jason Bonnicksen officiating.  An inurnment will follow at the Alma Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Faye Cady American Legion Post #118 in conjunction with the U.S. Air Force Honors Team.

Wesley Dean Moseman, 94 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at his home in Alma.  Wesley Dean was born in Oakland, Nebraska, son of Ernest and Anna.  Wes was married in 1951, to the love of his life Ardis (nee Newman) and remained faithfully married for the next 70 years.

Wes was a 1944 graduate of Oakland High School, an Air Force Veteran, and a career federal meat inspector at Omaha and Grand Island. He became a dedicated member of the Evangelical Free Church.

Wes enjoyed a life of outdoor sports, was an avid golfer and fisherman and co-owner of stock cars.  In retirement, Wes performed ten years of full-time Christian volunteer service with RVIC's before settling down in Alma, where he remained an active church member holding various official positions.

Wes was preceded in death by his siblings:  Clinton, Dwain, and Norma (Pippitt).

Wes leaves behind his wife, three children:  Steven (Marilyn); Bruce (Jolene); and Lynnette (Cameron Patterson); as well as seven grandchildren: Nate (Dawn Wentling); Phil (Karen Millspaugh); Andie Froistad; Adam; David (Ally); Remy and Connor Patterson; as well as two great-grandchildren:  Vincent and Desmond Froistad; and brother, Darold.

A Memorial Book Signing will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma, with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Wes's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
