Memorial Services for William E. Schofield, II will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Alma, Nebraska with Pastor Paul Ferrarone officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later time.
William Everett "Bill" Schofield, II, 82 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his home in Alma. Bill was born April 14, 1937, at Alhambra, California, the eldest of two sons, to William E. and Anna Schofield. He received his education from Alhambra Public Schools and graduated from Alhambra High School. Bill then pursued higher education from Cal State Polytech, with a degree in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.
Following his education, Bill began a life-long career in farming.
On June 10, 1969, Bill was united in marriage to Linda Youmans at the Presbyterian Church at Aptos, California and they made their home in Alma.
Bill's hobbies included gardening, collecting classic trucks, and raising livestock, especially sheep, since he was 14 years old.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; his wife, Linda Schofield on June 18, 2010; and daughter-in-law, Cali Schofield.
Bill leaves to celebrate his life; his children: Chuck Schofield of Port Orchard, Washington; Debra Falkenstein of Beaverton, Oregon; David Schofield of Alma; and Mark Schofield of Alma; along with his grandkids and great-grandkids; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Bill's wish for cremation.
A memorial has been established in Bill's honor, and kindly suggested to Peace Lutheran Church.
