Zenda M Moe

Zenda M. (Stolz) Moe, 92 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska (formerly of Naponee, Nebraska) passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Christian Homes Care Community at Holdrege. Private family graveside services and inurnment for Zenda and her two daughters will be held at a later date at the Naponee Cemetery.

Zenda was born May 17, 1919, the third of four children born to Otto and Gertrude (Schimmels) Stolz in Naponee. She received her education from Naponee, graduating from Naponee High School with the class of 1936. Following her education, Zenda was employed for two years by the Naponee Telephone Switch Board, seven days a week at 10 cents per hour. She then went to California and became Chief Operator of three military call centers. In 2006, she returned to Nebraska, where she made her home at the Christian Homes Care Community until her passing.

On February 17, 1946 she was united in marriage to Allen Moe and to this union two daughters were born: Alona and Janet.

Besides her parents and husband, Allen, Zenda was preceded in death by both of her daughters; one brother, Paul Stolz and his wife, Virginia; and one sister, Esther Smith and her husband, Howard.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Mona Rubano of East Sound, Washington; a grandson, Matt Epsen of San Diego, California; brother, Bob Stolz and his wife, Lona of Holdrege; nieces and nephews: Roxanne Reeder of Holdrege, Brent Stolz of Omaha, Nebraska, Cheryl Meyers of Seattle, Washington, Brad Stolz of Holdrege, Tara Rowe of Denver, Colorado, Murry Smith of Modesto, California, Suzanne Mitchell of Naponee, and Mary Jane Alderman of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

There will be no visitation; the family is honoring her wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
